In home feeding support, right where you are.
Calm, personalized lactation support in the comfort of your home, so you can focus on your baby… not the stress of getting out of the house.
Care centered on you and your baby
Inviting someone into your feeding journey can feel vulnerable. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and centered on you and your baby. There’s no pressure to perform, have things “figured out”, or even know what kind of support you need before we meet. My job is to help you identify what’s going on and come up with a a plan that makes sense for your family. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, focus on what matters most to you, and work together to make feeding feel more manageable and supported.
What happens during a home visit
Every family is different, but most visits follow a similar, supportive flow.
It starts with a conversation.
We’ll talk about your feeding experience, your concerns, and your goals. This helps me understand what’s happening and where you need the most support.
I'll observe a feeding.
I’ll watch a feeding and offer guidance as we go. This may include positioning, latch support, and small adjustments to help feeding feel more comfortable and effective.
Gentle assessment and hands-on support.
If needed, I may look in your baby’s mouth, observe movement, or suggest a gentle assessment to better understand how baby is feeding. I’ll always explain what I’m doing and why.
Practical suggestions and guidance.
Throughout the visit, I’ll offer clear, realistic suggestions you can actually use at home, like feeding positions, milk supply support, pumping adjustments, or bottle guidance.
Questions and reassurance.
There’s always time to ask questions. Before we wrap up, we’ll talk through next steps so you leave feeling clearer and more confident.
Follow-up and written plan.
After the visit, you’ll receive a written summary with recommendations and resources, so you don’t have to rely on memory when you’re exhausted.

Not sure which option is right?
Many families aren’t sure where to start, and that’s completely okay. If you’re unsure which visit or package fits your needs, you’re welcome to reach out and we can talk through your situation together.
What our time together looks like
Each consult is designed to be thorough, thoughtful, and centered on your baby and your goals. There’s no rushing through a checklist; this time is yours.
A relaxed, unhurried visit
Our visits have no time limit, giving us the space to fully understand what’s happening and work through concerns without feeling rushed.
Comprehensive assessment
Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, or using a combination, we’ll look at the full picture to understand what’s working well and where adjustments may help.
Latch and positioning support
I’ll observe a feeding and gently guide adjustments to positioning and latch. I may also assess your baby’s oral function to better understand how feeding mechanics are affecting things.
Pumping and flange support
If pumping is part of your routine, we’ll review your setup, talk through output concerns, and ensure your flange size and pump settings are working for your body.
Personalized care plan
Before we wrap up, we’ll outline clear, practical next steps tailored specifically to you and your baby. You’ll also receive follow up notes and resources to reference later.
Ongoing support
If your package includes follow-up care, you’ll have access to messaging for questions, quick check-ins, and continued support as you implement your plan.

"Dana helped me successfully nurse for 14 months... and actually enjoy it."
“There’s not enough room to explain the support and wisdom and care I received from Boobs and Birth. I thought online education prior to birth and lactation support in the hospital would be enough to figure out breastfeeding but the real questions came after we were home and I really needed help. I was not struggling to produce milk and my baby was gaining weight but I knew it should not be such a battle for each nursing session and that’s when I turned to Dana. She provided so much support, knowledge, and practical advice that helped me successfully nurse my son for 14 months and actually enjoy it. I had so many questions and concerns that pediatrics tried and failed to answer but at every new turn, I kept going back to Dana because I had success with every challenge I threw her way. Latching issues, painful letdowns, lip ties, bottle refusal, distracted feeding, the list goes on and on and Dana was there to help and encourage every step of the way! 10/10 recommended Boobs and Birth!”
