WHO WE ARE

Hi, I'm Dana

I’m a mom of four, IBCLC, and your biggest cheerleader in the thick of postpartum.

I’ve been where you are—sore, unsure, googling at 3 a.m., wondering if I was doing it right. Wondering if I was enough. Through four very different babies, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of postpartum and breastfeeding: latch struggles, supply worries, triple feeding, mastitis, pain, and tears… but also the deep joy of finding my rhythm and watching my babies thrive.

Over the years, I’ve lived in a handful of cities, and no matter where I was, one thing stayed the same: my dream to support other moms the way lactation consultants once supported me. Their presence changed everything—and now it’s my turn to do that for you.

This work is personal. I’m not here to give you a generic plan—I’m here to walk with you through the hard moments, help you trust your body, and make sure you feel seen and supported every step of the way.

What areas do you serve for in-person visits?

I offer in-home lactation support for families in Birmingham and surrounding areas. If you're outside of this area, feel free to reach out—I may still be able to accommodate you or offer virtual support.

When should I schedule my first visit?

Ideally, we meet within the first few days after birth. But it’s never too late—I support babies from birth through weaning. If you're struggling, overwhelmed, or just want reassurance, reach out. I can usually schedule urgent visits quickly.

Are your services covered by insurance?

I do not bill insurance directly, but I provide superbills upon request, which you can submit for potential reimbursement depending on your plan. HSA/FSA cards are often accepted.

Do you help with pumping, bottle feeding, or combo feeding?

Absolutely. Whether you're exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, or preparing to return to work, I offer support for it all—including choosing the right pump and flange size, building a freezer stash, and introducing a bottle with confidence.

“I am beyond grateful for the incredible support and guidance I received from Dana in the early days of my breastfeeding journey. Right after birth, we faced several challenges – including low milk production, latch difficulties, my baby’s slow weight gain, and eventually a diagnosis of cow’s milk protein intolerance. Through it all, Dana met us with patience, encouragement and genuine compassion. She not only offered practical solutions and expert knowledge, but also created a space where I felt heard and supported during a vulnerable and emotional time. Her presence helped me build the confidence I needed to keep going, even when it all felt incredibly overwhelming.

Now, nearly 10 months later, I’m so proud to say we are still breastfeeding—and thriving. The benefits to both me and my baby have been remarkable: a deep bond, strong immunity for my little one, and significant cost savings (especially considering how expensive hypoallergenic formulas are!).

I truly believe we wouldn’t be where we are today without Dana’s dedication and support.”
